Reflection on Twitter

According to Carpenter and Krutka, people can view about 150 free online professional development workshops weekly, while they don’t have to leave their home or work place. Twitter is a free service with open social network which has been used for entertainment and educators for more than 5 years to connect with colleagues, share resources, communicate with experts, and personalize their professional learning. People can collaborated on many projects to learn from each other by tweets while they live thousands miles apart. Also, educator’s thinks that twitter is a powerful digital learning area that can connect among shared interests. So, tweets can include images, short videos, and hyperlinks. Thurs, teacher can also tweet links to recommended articles, blogs, websites, and other teaching resources. Therefore, hashtags come up to help connect people with similar interest. A hashtag is an expression led by the (#) symbol, which shows that a tweet includes content on a specific topic.
